Accessibility Statement

Accessibility Statement for Disability Talent

Disability Solutions is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability. We aim to adhere as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2, Level AA) published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make Web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user-friendly to everyone.

Whilst Disability Solutions strives to adhere to the guidelines and standards for accessibility, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website and we are currently working to achieve this. Be aware that due to the dynamic nature of the website, minor issues may occasionally occur as it is updated regularly. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility.

Measures To Support Accessibility

We are taking the following measures to ensure accessibility on the Disability Solutions website:

  • Include accessibility throughout our internal policies.

  • Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities.

  • Include people with disabilities in the design process

  • Consult with accessibility professionals to understand and implement up-to-date accessibility measures

  • Continuously collect feedback from people with disabilities to enhance the user experience and functionality

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The Disability Solutions website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the Disability Solutions website. Please let us know if you encounter accessibility barriers on the Disability Solutions website: Contact Us

We try to respond to feedback within 5 business days. When providing feedback we encourage everyone to share as much detail about the barriers encountered as possible so that we can recreate and eliminate any barriers for our users.

Assessment Approach

We are currently in the process of testing our website against the WCAG guidelines with various assistive technologies. Once testing is completed, we will shift our focus to remediate and eliminate as many accessibility barriers or challenges as possible across the Disability Solutions website.

For testing, we are working internally with Disability Solutions Accessibility Analyst to evaluate the website, its pages, and its content for areas we can improve upon. Testing is being conducted from various screen reader perspectives, including JAWS and NVDA, from a visual accessibility perspective, from a keyboard-only perspective, and various devices, browsers, and operating systems.
